Fried Green Tomatoes Vegan
Preparation: 20 minutes
Serves 4 - 8
- 4 large green tomatoes
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/4 c. cornmeal
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- oil for frying
- Slice green tomatoes into 1/4 inch slices.
- Mix flour, cornmeal, salt and pepper.
- Dip tomatoes into flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a frying pan or skillet.
- Slowly fry tomato slices over medium heat until brown, turning once.
- Serve immediately.
