Pineapple Caramel Sundae Lacto
Preparation: 15 minutes
Serves 4
- 4 T butter
- 1 c dark brown sugar (demerara or succanat)
- 1/2 c cream
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 pineapple, cored and thickly diced
- 1/2 litre vanilla ice cream
- Combine butter, sugar, cream and nutmeg in a saucepan.
- Cook over a very low heat until the sugar dissolves completely and the sauce is smooth (ca. 5 mins)
- Stir the pineapple into the sauce.
- Scoop ice cream into individual bowls.
- Pour sauce and pineapple over top of the ice cream.
- Serve immediately.
